Cornish Guardian press release March 2012
NEW Whaly Boat from OSM Boats is launched on the river Fowey.
With the recent spring weather being unexpectedly warmer than usual it’s only natural that the thoughts of the local marine community turn to getting their beloved boats out of winter storage and into the water so they can enjoy it!
Two local businesses have achieved just this by working together over the past few weeks and launching their first Whaly boat for public hire just in time for the Easter holidays.
Outboard Services (OSM Boats) of Lostwithiel are delighted to have handed over the new Whaly 435, with wheel steering & console, to Fowey Boat Hire –Town Quay, and launched it in perfect conditions & glorious weather onto the river Fowey this week.
Steve Langmaid of Fowey Boat Hire-Town Quay quoted “ we have struggled in the past to offer enough boats suitable to carry larger families, with the new Whaly boat on our hire list it expands the options open to our business for the coming season. We think the stability and ease of handling of the new Whaly will offer a great package to our clients”.
You can try out the new Whaly by visiting Steve at Fowey Boat Hire on the Town Quay, or by calling 0798 999 1115 www.Fowey-boat-hire.co.uk
